Daily Morning Prayer with Scriptures: October 16, 2026 (Friday)

Good morning. It is Friday, and the end of the work week is near. Before the day fills up, give the first few minutes to God. This short prayer takes about three minutes and works wherever you are: the USA, UK, Canada, Nigeria or anywhere else.

Today’s Morning Scriptures

“It is of the LORD’S mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.” (Lamentations 3:22-23, KJV)

“O God, thou art my God; early will I seek thee: my soul thirsteth for thee, my flesh longeth for thee in a dry and thirsty land, where no water is.” (Psalm 63:1, KJV)

“God is in the midst of her; she shall not be moved: God shall help her, and that right early.” (Psalm 46:5, KJV)

A Quick Thought

Seeking God early reminds us that He is our first source, not our last resort. Whatever today holds, His help is present from the start.

Today’s Morning Prayer

Praise

Lord, thank You for a new morning and for mercies that did not run out overnight. Great is Your faithfulness.

Surrender

Father, I give You this Friday: my tasks, my conversations and my unfinished work. Let Your will be done through me.

Daily Bread

Give me this day my daily bread. Provide what I need today, and teach me to trust You for tomorrow.

Strength

Where I am tired at the end of the week, renew me. Be my help early in the day, and let me not be moved.

Protection

Cover my family, my home and everyone I love. Keep us safe in all our going out and coming in.

Favour

Let Your favour go before me at work, at school and at home. Open the right doors and close the wrong ones.

Others

Make me generous today. Show me one person I can feed, encourage or help.

A Short Declaration to Speak Aloud

God’s mercies are new this morning. He helps me early, He provides for me today, and I will not be moved.

Closing Prayer

Thank You, Father, for hearing me. I walk into this Friday with gratitude and trust. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Today’s Morning Action Step

Before the day ends, do one practical act of generosity: pay for a meal, send a food gift or give to someone in need.
